What pushes the price up
Two quotes for the same job can be far apart. Usually that is because one includes things the other leaves out, not because one company is much cheaper.
Ask every company to price the same written list, so you compare like with like.
A good quote lists all of these
- Exact scope, materials and brand names
- Permit fees and who pulls the permit
- Electrical work, clean-up and repairs around the job
- Warranty terms, in writing
- Payment stages tied to finished work
